Miguel Ángel Irra, name partner of our law firm, is an attorney specialized in corporate and dispute resolution, including civil, commercial real estate and family litigation, with over 35 years of experience.

He obtained his Law Degree in 1979 at the National Autonomous University of Mexico with the thesis “Methods to extinguish court proceedings”.

Miguel Ángel Irra joined the law firm López Figueroa & Valenzuela in 1975, where he became partner. Since then, he has focused its practice in corporate and commercial advice, and dispute resolution and litigation. He has represented private clients and private and public entities. In 1989 he was involved in the transformation of López Figueroa & Valenzuela to our law firm as it is known nowadays.

He has gained an exceptional and impeccable reputation within the judiciary, given his proven dedication and professionalism that have distinguished its practice.

  • Has represented telecommunication entities in disputes arising out of the value determination of radio stations in connection with joint venture agreements.
  • Successfully defense of a public entity of the aviation sector to repeal the execution of a millionaire judgment based on an altered equipment loan contract.
  • Represented a public research institute in a dispute arising out of three public tenders for the construction of a strategic astronomy infrastructure supervised by leading international scientific entities. This has been one of the most publicized infrastructure project of recent governments and has been the subject of several documentaries all around the world.
  • Represented a leading construction company in a dispute arising out of the construction of a Distributor Road in the second most important Mexico’s state, successfully resolved in few months.
  • Has represented several public entities and research institutions in civil and commercial disputes arising out of the concessions granted to operate.
  • Amparo trials against federal laws related to payments for the use of the radio electric spectrum.
